JASON BAILEY BAND
As a mandolinist, composer, teacher, and studio musician, Jason Bailey possesses the range of musicianship expected from a well-seasoned professional. Bailey has been a feature artist on WBHM’s Tapestry three times for each of his solo recordings, Southwood and September in the South and Mandolbug. In addition, these albums have been a feature for the online magazine, MandolinCafé.com. In 2007 Bailey was nominated for the Birmingham Area Music Awards in the category of best Country/Bluegrass/Americana artist.
“There is an excellent mandolinist in our city. He’s quietly accomplished – not the kind of guy to brag or boast – so we’d better do it for him.” -Mary Colurso, City Scene, Dec. 07
“These guys remind me of the Dixie Dreggs and that’s a good thing. They have also listened to Bela Fleck, not bad either. Congratulations on being the best submission from a very tough month of competition.” – Gary Allen (JJ Cale, Charlie Daniels Band)

BIRD DOGGIN’
Local musicians Robert Bruner and Daniel Long (of Rescue Dogs Band) provide the backbone for this revolving cast, roots-americana outfit showcasing some of Birmingham’s finest performers. The duo was formed as an offshoot of Rescue Dogs in an attempt to revisit some treasured gems of uniquely American music, to provide a springboard for composing new music and to create opportunities for collaboration within the constantly growing community of Birmingham musicians. Featuring original music as well that of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and The Everly Bros. (to name just a few), you’ll want to be sure and find out what Bird Doggin’ is all about.
COPPER MOUNTAIN
The result of a middle school garage band, Copper Mountain consists of a quartet of Helena natives; all of whom are still in high school. Combining elements of folk, alternative, and blues; Copper Mountain’s music is a mixture of genres that bring about a completely original sound. A balance of instrumental and vocal harmonies mark their music, which is both tenuous and breathtakingly electrifying. Brian Renninger (acoustic guitar, vocals) leads a vocal trio that provides subtle harmonies throughout their work. Rhythmic leader Tyler Kelosky (drums, bass) holds down the low end with masterful basslines that never get stuck in the background. Vocalist Meghan Farrell (the talent portion) brings a soulful tone to the mix with her awe-inspiring vocal harmonies while lead guitarist Dave Smith (Vocals, electric guitar, mandolin) contributes his own blues and jazz inspired style. Copper Mountain’s delectable set of original songs is sure to impress and inspire even the most experienced ear.

STUART MCNAIR AND THE RED ROUX
Stuart McNair is one of Birmingham’s most prolific artists. With three full length CD’s and one on the way, McNair presents a gumbo of Southern musical styles, including Bluegrass, Zydeco, Folk, and Alt. Country. Called “uplifting” and “dazzling”, Stuart’s live show has been critically acclaimed throughout the US and Europe, where he recently completed a two month tour. For the Moss Rock Festival, Stuart will be joined by some of Birmingham’s finest players. Check out his music and videos at www.stuartmcnair.com. Don’t miss this one!
KIDS YOUR AGE
These Birmingham dandies aren’t just your regular boy-toy eye candy – they play instruments too! Jason Vickers stars on the boom boom chickas, Andy Brown operates the electric ivory, Matt Marsh brings the low-frequency fuzz, Casey Patton wrangles the jazz box, and Hank Jones swings a mighty axe too. Oh, and Nathan Peek vocally transmits songs into a microphone with nary but his lonesome six string by his side. Look for Kids Your Age to carefully deliver a high energy, toe-tappin’, rump-shakin’, shoe-gazin’, head-bobbin’, double-takin’ set of hand-crafted originals that snakes its way through the rock n roll gamut directly to your ear!

SWEETWATER ROAD
Sweetwater Road blends an eclectic mix of Bluegrass, Country, and Country rock with an Acoustic flare. The soulful harmonies of Kelli Johnson and Michelle Cone, layered with the solid rhythms of Jason Bailey and Brandon Peeples, makes this group a delicacy of the southeastern music scene!

TONIGHT IN A JAR
Starting essentially as a mutual admiration society amongst musical colleagues, Tonight In A Jar combines female and male harmonies, guitars, piano, viola, and percussion with the songwriting talents of different members to create a beautiful, melodic musical experience. While the entity of Tonight In A Jar is relatively new, the members have been making their mark in the Southeastern music scene for years. Songwriters September Reed (piano, guitar, vocals) and Christina Linard (guitar, vocals) continue to be an exciting part of the Birmingham scene with Black Magnolias; Mollie Harrison (viola) has played around the South as a member of Voices In The Trees; and songwriter David Seale is a veteran of the local music scene as both a musician and co-host of the Birmingham Mountain Radio show, Southbound, that features music from the Magic City. Having shared the stage together numerous times in different venues and forms, the four friends decided to come together in the summer of 2011, and the results have been spectacular. A debut release is expected in the fall of 2011. www.facebook.com/pages/Tonight-In-A-Jar/159857377429966
