Be sure to look for the specially marked trash and Recycle Alabama receptacles located throughout the festival site. The Alabama Environmental Council will be recycling aluminum cans and plastic bottles at MRF this year. The Recycle Alabama campaign aims to increase individual participation and quantities recycled in existing programs while finding new opportunities for communities that haven’t previously existed. The Recycle Alabama logo is a unifying symbol across Alabama where a fragmented network of recycling opportunities exist. E-Cycling (Electronics Recycling)

Technical Knockout will be collecting electronic donations at Regions Park on Saturday & Sunday.

Acceptable donations include: computer components, hard drives, monitors, keyboards, mice, cables, wiring, power supplies, printers, copiers, fax machines, telephones, cell phones, scanners, battery back ups, printer cartridges, any metal like shelving or file cabinets. Special Note: TV’s are not accepted. There is a $5 charge for monitors under 17″ and $7.50 charge for monitors over 17″. Also, there is a $10 charge for destruction of hard drives. Secure Document Destruction

Secure Destruction will be at Regions Park Saturday and Sunday from 12:00-2:00 p.m. collecting confidential documents to transport for secure shredding and destruction at their facilities. There will be a 3 box/bag limit per family. Thank you!

Guess the number of aluminum cans in the “Recycled Cube” installation donated by Brothers Recycling, and get a chance to win some great stuff from Pampered Chef. The person with the closest guess will take home the prize. One winner will be chosen each day.
